Run Across CT 123

Run Across CT 123 is a point to point ultramarathon covering 123 miles across Connecticut from East Thompson to the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club in Southport. The course mixes trails and roads: about 57 miles are on maintained trails and the remainder follows backroads and local highways. Total ascent is about 3,842 ft and total descent is about 4,455 ft.

The event offers multiple entry formats:

  • Solo 200K
  • 6-person 200K relay
  • 3-person 200K relay
  • Solo 100K

The race uses a 36 hour cutoff and enforces five intermediate cutoffs plus a final cutoff at the finish; runners are expected to maintain roughly a 17.5 minute per mile pace (about 3.5 mph) to meet cutoffs. Aid stations staffed by volunteers provide hydrating drinks, electrolyte replenishment, and light snacks, and medical staff are available for common ultramarathon issues.

Logistics note that there are no shuttle services this year; transportation options include crew drop off or parking at nearby park and rides. Finishers of the 200K receive a belt buckle, 100K and relay finishers receive medals, and all finishers receive a 2025 CT123 t shirt and other swag.
