Run Across CT 123

Run Across CT 123 is a point to point ultramarathon on April 3, 2027, that begins in East Thompson, CT and finishes at the Wakeman Boy's and Girls Club in Southport. The primary route covers 123.2 miles and travels through 25 towns across Connecticut.

The course mixes trails and paved roads. About 57 miles are on well maintained trails with forest scenery and occasional stream crossings; the remainder follows backroads and local highways. Total elevation change is moderate with approximately 3,842 feet of ascent and 4,455 feet of descent.

Event logistics include a 36 hour overall cutoff and multiple intermediate cutoffs to manage safety and support. Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and provide hydrating drinks, electrolyte replenishment, and light snacks. Medical personnel are available to respond to common ultramarathon conditions.

Finishers receive event awards: a belt buckle for the 200K, standard medals for the 100K and relay finishers, and a 2025 CT123 t shirt plus other swag. Field size is limited because of route logistics. There are no shuttle services this year; crew drop off and nearby park and ride options are referenced. Volunteers support aid stations, course marking, checkpoints, and start and finish logistics with shifts typically 1.5 to 3 hours and receive swag and food.
