Ruidoso Grindstone Trail Runs

The Ruidoso Grindstone Trail Runs is an annual trail running event held at Wingfield Park in downtown Ruidoso, New Mexico. The course area is in Midtown Ruidoso at about 6,900 feet elevation and features a mix of trail and paved surfaces with directional signage at trail intersections.

Distances offered:

• 13.8 miles Heavy Half Marathon
• 8.5 miles Miler
• 4 miles Miler
• Kids Dash, one loop around Wingfield Park

The event is organized as a cupless race with refill stations located at the park and additional refill points on the longer courses; participants should bring their own hydration containers. Course support for the longest distance includes refill stations and finish line refreshments and fruit. Finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal, a custom tech shirt, a custom race bib, and complimentary professional race photos. Top three overall male and female finishers receive carved bear awards and age group top finishers receive souvenir charms.

Additional event notes include packet pick-up at Wingfield Park under the pavilion, chip timing, and a post-race gathering with local food and beverage offerings.
