The Capitan Mountain 34 Hour is a multi-format trail endurance event held in Capitan, New Mexico, on April 17-18, 2026. The competition uses a soft, runnable 4-mile loop that will be run clockwise. Timing and lap counting are provided by ZEN ARCADE TIMING. The event records times for distances from 25K and up and is organized as a no-DNF event for those distances.

Logistics and policies

Aid at the start/finish serves as the central headquarters and offers traditional ultra snacks, electrolytes, soda, and hot food at night; a food truck serves registered runners. Pacers are permitted during the overnight window midnight to 6:00 AM. Packet pickup and camping are located at Rob Jaggers Campground near the start/finish; camping is first-come, first-served. The event requires a reusable cup because it is a cupless race. Awards include buckles for 100- and 80-mile finishes and special buckles or medals for other achievements.
