Cloudcroft Ultra 53K

Event overview

The Cloudcroft Ultra on August 15, 2026 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, offers multiple trail distances based at the Pavilion in Zenith Park. Distances include:

• 53K - out-and-back on the Rim Trail with an added lollipop loop.
• 9.5 mile - out-and-back on the Rim Trail.

Course and logistics

All main races use the Rim Trail (T105), a shaded single-track and historic rail-bed route that passes fir, pine and quaking aspen and offers views over the Tularosa Basin. The 53K has six aid stations and allows drop bags at two locations (around miles 13 and 20). The 9.5 mile course has two aid stations. Chip timing is provided for all distances. Crew access is allowed at the aid stations listed for the 53K.

Packet pickup is available at the Pavilion in Zenith Park. All events are non-refundable. All finishers receive custom shirts and finisher medals; guaranteed shirt sizes require earlier registration.
