Cactus to Cloud Sky Race takes place October 17-18, 2026, in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. The event offers trail races that move from desert terrain into higher-elevation forest near the Sacramento Mountains.

Distances offered include:

• Sky Race 50K, point-to-point trail, start at Oliver Lee State Park
• Cloud Run 32K, mountain single-track, start at Sunspot visitor center

The event is part of the Sacramento Mountains Ultra Series and is based out of Cloudcroft, at approximately 8,676 feet elevation. Shuttle service picks up at the start/finish pavilion to transport participants to race starts; shuttle service is included with the series registration.

Organized by Wanderlust Running, the event provides finisher items such as custom shirts and unique medals.
