  • Kids 1 mile

The 10k begins with an incline near the start, then moves through rolling hills on terrain that ranges from smooth to moderately technical. The main incline includes a series of consistent steps of varying length and height. Shortly after the top, the course follows a left turn toward a 0.5 mile section, then continues through a mix of small crests and descents. An aid station is located near the start of the loop at about 1.9 miles. For 2025 the loop is run counter-clockwise and includes panoramic views of the Front Range, a moderately steep rocky descent toward the reservoir, and a final return that passes under Hess Road. Near 5.7 miles runners turn left to avoid descending the incline, then follow a steep but smooth downhill with small dirt bumps and a roughly 200 meter run-in to the finish.

Awards are given to the top 10 finishers and the fastest female and male, among others. 2024 was cancelled due to trail conditions. 2025 swag included a head or neck gaiter, running socks, or similar. Volunteers may race for free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
