Event Information
The Roxborough Ultras is a trail ultramarathon in Roxborough State Park, Colorado. The event takes place in late summer and offers two race distances: 50K and 50 miler.
Course Details
Both courses are fully marked and take place on trails. They feature sustained climbing, technical sections, exposed terrain, and long stretches with little flat terrain.
- The 50K includes over 5,000 feet of elevation gain.
- The 50 miler includes over 9,000 feet of elevation gain.
The routes use iconic local trails, with long out-and-back segments and sustained climbs. Aid stations are intentionally spaced, with longer gaps between them than at shorter regional events.
Conditions and Requirements
August conditions are typically hot and dry, with unreliable natural water sources. All participants are required to carry a minimum of 20 oz of water at all times. The event is capped in its first year, and pricing is flat with no tiered increases.
