The 17th Annual Royal Gorge Whitewater Festival takes place in Centennial Park in Cañon City, Colorado. The festival features whitewater competitions alongside land-based recreation events, combining boating activities with live music, food and beverage options, and bike and run events. - Great Escape 10K Trail Run
The Great Escape 5K leaves from Centennial Park and follows the Arkansas Riverwalk trail, crossing the river at the pedestrian bridge and turning at the trailhead or an optional hill for extra elevation before returning to the park. The Great Escape 10K departs Centennial Park, climbs Wagon Trail and Schepp Ridge for town and mountain views, follows Piñon Trail to Recycle, and descends on Mutton Bustin back to Centennial Park.
