Bridge Burner Ultra is a late-season trail running event based in Cañon City, Colorado. The event offers multiple distances on a course that uses a single-loop layout through Royal Gorge Mountain Park and nearby terrain.
The main route follows the Arkansas River and passes through historic granite-blasted tunnels along Tunnel Drive. Runners climb to a high point at 7,109 feet with views of the Royal Gorge, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and Pikes Peak. The course includes long sections of singletrack, a crossing of the highest bridge in the United States, and a final descent through Temple Canyon. Total elevation gain on the longer courses is up to approximately 4,500 feet.

Aid stations are described as well stocked with Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, fruit, baked goods, sweet and salty snacks, soda, and hot food options such as bacon, quesadillas, potatoes, and pierogis. Some aid stations are crew accessible and accept drop bags; all aid stations are reachable by 2WD vehicles. Crewing is allowed only at crew-accessible stations and pacing is prohibited.
