The course is a scenic tour of the winery's vineyards. It starts and finishes at the winery and is described as mostly cross-country style, featuring some grass and uneven terrain. The event is chip-timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online. The race will be held regardless of light rain, though severe weather may cause a delay.

The event is open to participants aged 1 to 99. Participants must present ID to receive the post-race hard cider, which must be consumed in a designated area. Participants under 21 years old will receive a non-alcoholic cider. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are permitted on a leash but cannot enter the winery building.
