Robinette's Spiked Apple 5k

Robinette's Spiked Apple 5k is a running and walking event held at Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery in Grand Rapids. The event takes place on a cross country style course that features the winery's vineyards. The route includes grass and uneven terrain and is not recommended for strollers, although they are permitted.

Participants receive a variety of event-related items with their registration. This includes a soft cotton t-shirt, a chip-timed race bib, a signature winery glass, and a finisher medal that also functions as a bottle opener. After completing the course, participants are provided with a homemade cider donut and a pour of hard cider. Participants under the age of 21 receive a non-alcoholic cider instead.

The race is professionally timed and scored, with results posted online. Top finishers in various age categories, ranging from 1-9 to 80 and over, receive custom awards. These awards are distributed live on the day of the event. Free race photos are taken at the finish line and made available for digital download. The event is dog-friendly, provided animals are kept on a leash and remain outside the winery buildings. A virtual participation option is also available for those unable to attend in person.
