Rising Sun Country Park 10K Trail Run

The Rising Sun Country Park 10K Trail Run takes place in the heart of North Tyneside, approximately five miles northeast of Newcastle city centre. The event utilizes the diverse landscapes of the Rising Sun Country Park, guiding participants through a mix of grasslands, woodlands, and a nature reserve.

The course consists of both marked and unmarked paths that navigate through various forest habitats. Participants can expect terrain that includes steep inclines, uneven ground, and sections that may be wet or muddy. The route is fully marked and supported by marshals stationed at various intervals.

  • 10 km Canicross (one dog per runner)

The race features live chip timing, with results published online. Participants receive a finisher's medal, merchandise, and snacks at the finish line. Event photography is also provided during the run. The minimum age for entry is 16 years old on the day of the event.
