Resolve2Run

Resolve2Run is an annual run-walk held on New Year’s Day at Chicago Park School. The course winds through scenic areas of Nevada County and is offered in two distances:

  • 5K run-walk
  • 10K run-walk

The event functions as a fundraiser for local organizations: the Peardale-Chicago Park Firefighters' Association, the Chicago Park 4-H Club, and the Chicago Park School PTA. Funds raised support firefighter equipment and training needs (examples listed include scene lighting, rescue ropes and hardware, safety cones, radio upgrades, and CPR manikins), youth projects and scholarships through 4-H, and school programs such as music, drama, art, after-school sports, assemblies, and science equipment.

The event website provides pages for Race Information, Registration, Resources, Results, Sponsorship, and Contact. The event is promoted as a community activity to start the New Year healthy and is described as occurring rain or shine. Organizers present it as an opportunity for runners, family, and friends to participate while supporting local groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
