Red Barn Challenge

Red Barn Challenge : Lykens, PA (October 3-4, 2025)

The Red Barn Challenge is the 6th annual chip-timed running event held at Marzella Farm in Lykens, PA (1315 and 1355 Pottsville Street). The course is a one-mile loop that is mostly grass and mulched surface and runs around ponds and fields. The elevation change per mile is about 70 ft. Camping is available all weekend, with campsites and parking located trackside. The event supports local organizations; refunds are available at 50% until July 1, 2025. Registration closed on September 3, 2025. Awards are given to the top male and female in each time bracket and to other notable participants; prizes for 2025 include a sweatshirt or a blanket.

The course area includes volunteers and spectators near the loop. A staffed aid station provides common ultrarunning fuel items such as potatoes, rice, broth, and hydration, including TAILWIND Hydration, plus additional options.
