Red Barn Challenge - October 2-3, 2026

The Red Barn Challenge is a chip-timed endurance event held at the Marzella Farm in Lykens, PA. The course is a one-mile loop with about 70 feet of elevation per lap. Terrain is mostly grass with mulch and stone and the loop passes ponds and fields near campsites and parking areas.

The event offers multiple time-based race options:

  • 24-hour event
  • 12-hour event
  • 6-hour event

A staffed food aid station supplies typical ultrarunning fare including potatoes, rice, broth, and hydration options such as TAILWIND. Camping is available all weekend with campsites and parking located trackside for easy access. The event supports several local organizations including Wiconisco Fire Company and area athletics programs. Awards are given to the top male and female in each time bracket and to other notable participants; awards and post-event provisions include additional food and an event sweatshirt or blanket.
