Course, distances and logistics
The course is a traffic-free, out-and-back route on hard-packed trail along the Flitch Way, described as mostly up or down and sometimes almost flat. Lap structure: complete 2 laps for 10 km, 4 laps for a half marathon, 8 laps for a full marathon; the 6 hour event is limited by elapsed time. An aid station is provided at the end of every lap; runners may leave a bag for personal items and can access flapjacks, fruit, nuts, water and squash. The event operates as a cupless event to reduce plastic waste, so runners must provide their own drinking receptacle.
