Rayne'ing Medals Anniversary

The Rayne'ing Medals Anniversary is a lapped running event on the Flitch Way at Rayne in 2027, organised by Hare & Tortoise Running. The event offers a selection of race distances and a bespoke medal and goody bag for finishers.

Distances available:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • Six hour challenge
  • Afternoon half marathon
  • Afternoon 10 km

Loops are 5.3 km in length. One loop earns a finisher medal; two loops cover 10 km, four loops cover a half marathon, and eight loops cover a full marathon. Participants continuing in the six hour challenge are limited only by the clock.

The course is traffic free, out and back, on a hard packed trail that is mostly up or down and sometimes almost flat. There are two marked 5 km loop courses set out in opposite directions; runners may choose which way to run after every loop and may alternate loops.

An aid station is located at the end of every lap. The aid station provides flapjacks, fruit, nuts, water and squash, and allows participants to leave a personal bag for use between laps. The event operates a cupless policy to reduce plastic waste; participants must provide their own receptacle. Hydrapak Speedcups are available to purchase as described by the organiser.

Parking is limited at the Booking Hall with additional parking on New Road opposite the Flitch Way. The event is UKA affiliated, holds a TRA race permit and qualifies for the 100 Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
