Rails to Trails

The Rails to Trails event takes place in Lake and Geauga Counties, Ohio. This point-to-point race follows a historic route once used by passenger and freight trains. The course consists of a converted rail trail that transitions into a paved bike path, featuring a net-downhill elevation profile.

Participants can choose from three distinct distances:

  • 20 Miler
  • 15 Miler
  • 10 Miler

The 20 Miler begins at Headwaters Park in Huntsburg. The 15 Miler starts at the Chardon Troy Road Crossing, and the 10 Miler commences at the Chardon bike path near 220 Center St. All race distances conclude at the Lake Metroparks Environmental Learning Center in Concord Township.

Registration includes chip timing, a finisher medal, a race shirt, and a post-race pancake breakfast. Age group awards are presented at the finish line celebration. To facilitate logistics, runners are instructed to park at the finish line and utilize provided bus transportation to their respective starting points.
