Event Overview

The Rails to Trails event offers three point-to-point running distances along a converted rail trail in Northeast Ohio. All races finish at the Lake Metroparks Environmental Learning Center in Concord Township, Ohio.

Course & Distances

The course is described as a net-downhill route that follows a historic railway converted to a trail and paved bike path. Participants can choose from three distances:

  • 20 Miler (starting at Headwaters Park in Huntsburg)
  • 15 Miler (starting at the Chardon Troy Road crossing)
  • 10 Miler (starting near Key Bank in Chardon)

Registration Inclusions

Registration for the event includes a chip-timed race, a finisher medal, a race shirt, and post-race pancakes. Age group awards are also presented after the race.

Logistics

Runners are instructed to park their vehicles at the finish line area. Transportation via bus is provided from the finish to the respective starting points, or participants may arrange to be dropped off. The event has a time limit of five hours.
