Ragnar Trail Zion is a team relay event held at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort in Orderville, Utah. Participants run in a relay format over two days and one night, utilizing a course that features red dirt trails, singletrack, double track, equestrian paths, and jeep trails. The venue is located outside of Zion National Park, providing views of the "Checkerboard Mesa" and Cedar Breaks.
The event covers a total distance of 124.8 miles, with each runner typically completing 15.6 miles. The total elevation gain for the course is 15,016 feet, which averages to 1,877 feet of gain per runner.
The central hub of the event is the Ragnar Village, which provides various amenities for participants:

Teams camp on-site at the resort. In addition to traditional camping, lodging options at the venue include vacation homes, cabins, tiny homes, and Conestoga wagons. Weather conditions in the region typically range from highs in the 70s and 80s during the day to lows in the 40s at night.
