Cedar City Moonwalk 5K : Race overview
The Cedar City Moonwalk 5K is a nighttime walk or run along the Cedar City East Bench Trail System taking place under the Buck Full Moon. The course begins at 1120 West Greens Lake Drive (LDS Church parking lot pavilion) and finishes at West Canyon Park (Ann J. Gardner Park) along the creek.
Participants receive a timed bib and a glow-in-the-dark race shirt, and every finisher is awarded a medal. Post-race items at the finish include Moon Pies, fruit, and other treats. A foam party is staged at the finish area, and live music and photo opportunities are part of the event atmosphere.
Logistics include on-site parking at the starting line and shuttle service to return participants from the finish to the starting parking area; shuttle service is included with registration. One aid station is located approximately halfway on the course offering water or electrolyte drinks, portable toilets, garbage disposal, and basic blister and band‑aid supplies.
Registration is online only and closes on July 31, 2026; bibs are assigned and there is no in-person race‑day registration. Refunds are not offered; medical transfers or deferments may be allowed on a limited case-by-case basis with associated fees until July 22, 2026.
