Cedar City Half Marathon

Cedar City Half Marathon & Adventure 5K - September 12, 2026

The event includes a half marathon and a 5K held in and around Cedar City on September 12, 2026. Runners are transported by bus from the Heritage Center Theater to the start area at Wood Ranch. Packet pickup is available at the Heritage Center Theater on the day before the race and may also be possible on race morning.

The half marathon follows a downhill route through Cedar Canyon on closed roads, then transitions from SR 14 onto Cedar City trail system along Coal Creek. The trail section passes Canyon Park and Veterans Ball Fields before reaching the finish at Bicentennial Park Soccer Fields. The course includes three road underpasses that allow runners to avoid street traffic. A free shuttle will run from the finish area back to parked vehicles.

Aid stations are placed roughly every two miles and provide water, electrolyte drinks and gels; ham radio operators staff aid stations and an ambulance is stationed at the finish. Aid station locations include:

• Aid station 1 at 2.5 miles
• Aid station 2 at 4.1 miles
• Aid station 3 at 6.1 miles
• Medical at 6.8 miles
• Aid station 4 at 8.1 miles
• Aid station 5 at 10.3 miles
• Aid station 6 at 12.1 miles

Runners receive a race bag at packet pickup and may use a drop bag at the start that will be transported to the finish. All participants must register online and wear a bib to board buses and run. Refunds are not offered; transfers or deferments are permitted until September 2, 2026 with associated fees and medical approval. Race results will be posted online after the finish.
