Ragnar Trail SoCal Individual

Ragnar Trail SoCal Individual takes place October 23-24, 2026 at the Los Coyotes Reservation in Warner Springs, CA, set within the Anza-Borrego Desert and surrounding alpine areas. The event uses a network of winding single-track and fire roads through junipers, pines, and oaks with notable elevation change.

Runners can choose from three individual options:

  • Single Loop - Yellow Loop, 3.1 miles, 574 ft elevation gain.
  • 6H Ultra - unlimited loops on the 15.7-mile course, total course gain 2,975 ft.
  • 24H Ultra - unlimited loops across Friday and Saturday on the same loops.

The Yellow Loop departs from Ragnar Village through an oak canopy, includes a steep climb, a fast single-track descent, a near-vertical climb with valley views, and a downhill return that connects with Green for the final stretch. The timed ultras allow participants to complete as many loops as they wish on rugged mountain hills and desert trails.

Ragnar Village serves as the weekend hub with camping, a bonfire, music, yoga, food trucks, partner samples, and finisher items including a medal and shirt. Typical desert conditions are noted: daytime temperatures near 92°F and cooler nights around 56°F. The reservation is about two hours from downtown San Diego and about three hours from Los Angeles.
