The Classic route includes two crossings of the River Erme estuary and follows shadowy estuarine trails, finishing with a steep uphill ascent to the SchoolhouseDevon restaurant above the estuary. The Half Marathon uses sections of the Classic route with some changes: it omits two woodland loops, adds about five miles on the South West Coast Path, and returns to the estuary at Wonwell for a final crossing. There is a 3.25 hour cut-off for the final crossing on the Half Marathon. Minimum ages are 17 years or older for the Classic and 18 years or older for the Half Marathon. Entry fees vary by membership status: Classic £36-£38, Half Marathon £46-£48. Entries were open and participants had been recorded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
