Course, timing and logistics
Courses are largely on non-technical fire roads; the 25k and 35k+ include multiple creek crossings. Hiking poles are allowed. Courses are marked with colored ribbon about every 200 meters; blue ribbons indicate a wrong-way route. Aid stations provide energy gels, snacks, soda, water, Skratch Labs hydration, salt tablets, seasonal fruit, and basic first aid supplies. All distances are chip timed using MyLaps and Race Director with disposable chips attached to bibs. Parking is free in the Community Church of the Monterey Peninsula lot adjacent to the start/finish area.
Policies
Registration is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Dogs are allowed only in the 1-mile Fun Run, must be on-leash, and must start at the back of the pack. The 35k+ course has a time limit; runners who miss the course cut-off may be moved to the 25k route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
