Race For Men Salisbury

Race For Men is a family festival sporting event held in Salisbury. The event combines multi-distance running with a mixed five a side football competition, live music, family entertainment, food stalls, and a licensed bar. The next Race For Men takes place on 30 May 2027.

Distances offered include:

• Half marathon (21K) chip timed, multi terrain
• 10K
• 5K newly introduced distance
• 3K fun run and walk

The event base is Hudson’s Field to the north of Salisbury. The route is described as roughly 50% pavement and road and 50% off road trails, starting from the Stonehenge area and passing Old Sarum Hill Fort. From the southern ramparts at Old Sarum there are views over the city commonly called New Sarum.

The five a side tournament features twelve teams split into two groups of six, with a minimum of five games per team. Two pitches are used and the tournament is estimated to last about three hours. Group play advances the top two teams to semifinals; match durations are typically seven minutes and the final lasts ten minutes. Team entry is listed as £70.

Race For Men raises funds for the Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer and Urology fund. To date the event has raised £59,866 and states an aim of working towards a £100,000 total.
