Race for Life Pretty Muddy York

Fulford, United Kingdom • 2 May 2027

York Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at The Knavesmire, York Racecourse (YO23 1EX). The course combines grass, surfaced and trail paths; the start and finish are on grass. The site is predominantly flat with some uphill and downhill gradients. An accessible route is available if required, but the event is not wheelchair accessible due to the nature of the obstacles.

Participants climb, crawl and slide around the course. Start waves are staggered every 15 minutes; groups are advised to book the same wave. To take part, participants must be 13 years of age or older. There is a minimum fundraising target of £50.

On-site facilities available include refreshments, toilets and parking. Blue Badge parking is provided within the Knavesmire at no charge. General event parking is free and accessed via Knavesmire Road; drop off is followed by a 200 m walk on grass. Volunteer parking requires a roughly 300 m walk on grass. Cycling racks are not available at the event but are nearby on Loverose Way. The nearest train station is York, approximately 1.5 miles from the venue. An electric vehicle charging point is available nearby on Nunnery Lane.

Entry prices for earlybird tickets are listed in the event information. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
