The event is a Pretty Muddy® 5 km obstacle course held at Norfolk Showground, Dereham Road, Norwich, NR5 0TT on Saturday 09 May 2026. The route is a mixture of pathways and grass, is relatively flat, and is contained within the showground site.

Start and finish are within the main Norfolk Showground arena, a short walk from the Dereham Gate entrance. Organisers run the event in staggered waves, with each wave starting every 15 minutes. Participants should gather in front of the stage for a warm up and course instructions before their wave. The what3words reference for the start area is ///assess.shepherds.primary.

To take part, participants must be 13 years of age or older. There are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for children aged 12 and under. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. Sunflower wristbands and British Sign Language stage content are available to support accessibility needs.

Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and on-site parking on grass. Showers and bag drop are not available, and dogs are not allowed. General car parking is free and may be a short walk to the event site; blue badge parking and drop-off areas are provided. The minimum fundraising target is £50.
