The event is a Pretty Muddy obstacle course of 5 km held at the Norfolk Showground in Norwich (Dereham Road, NR5 0TT). The course is contained within the showground and combines pathways and grass; it is described as relatively flat. Participants climb, crawl and slide around the route and can skip obstacles if needed with marshals available to assist.
The start and finish are within the main Norfolk Showground arena, a short walk from the Dereham Gate entrance. Wave start times are staggered at 15 minute intervals to manage the course. Participants must be 13 years of age or older for this event; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events exist for children aged 12 and under.
On-site facilities listed include refreshments, toilets, parking and a bag drop. Showers are not available. The site notes that the start and finish areas are on grass which may become soft or muddy in wet weather. Blue Badge parking is provided on grass about 200 m from the event site. General event parking is on grass with an approximate 10 minute walk to the arena. There are no electric charging points and no bike racks.
The event has a minimum fundraising target of £50. Earlybird entry prices listed are £11.24 for adults and £6.00 for children. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training guidance and a Race for Life medal. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK.
