Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5k : Beckenham Place Park

This Race for Life Pretty Muddy event is a 5 km obstacle course held in Beckenham Place Park on Saturday 11 July 2026. The course is fully contained within the park and runs on a mixture of grass and paths with some steep inclines and undulating areas. Participants will climb, crawl and slide around the course and can complete obstacles at their own pace.

The start line is on the open grass area near Beckenham Place Mansion and the finish line is opposite the start. The exact start location is also given as what3words major.flows.shock. Starts are organised in staggered waves every 15 minutes. To take part participants must be 13 years of age or older. There are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children aged 12 and under.

Practical details include adult entry at £22.49, child entry at £12.00 and a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. There is no parking at the venue; Blue Badge parking is accessed via the Beckenham Hill Road entrance. The nearest train station is Beckenham Hill, about 0.5 miles away, and the nearest bus service is number 54 at Highland Croft stop. Around 16 cycle spaces are available in the cafe courtyard.

Facilities noted as available include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and dogs allowed. The course is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs.
