Brentwood 10k - Weald Country Park, Brentwood

Race for Life at Weald Country Park in Brentwood offers routed runs across grass and woodland trails. The start and finish are on Belvedere Field opposite the Visitors Centre car park. The course surface is mostly grass and woodland paths and includes inclines and declines.

In wet weather the ground may become soft and muddy and some narrow sections may cause congestion, notably near Bird Hide Bridge. The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k course. Events are chip-timed.

Location and practical information: Weald Country Park, South Weald, Brentwood, CM14 5QL. General event parking is provided via the Cricket Ground entrance off Weald Road. Blue badge parking is available in the Visitors Centre car park. There are no on-site electric vehicle charging points.

Facilities and accessibility: Available facilities include refreshments, toilets, a bag drop and parking. The site is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. There are some bike railings by the Visitor Centre that can be used for short-term parking.

Participation details: Entry prices listed include Earlybird Aged 16 & over at £8.74 and Earlybird Children at £5.50. The minimum fundraising target is £50.00. Trail runs nearby

A new 10 km trail race at Langdon Nature Discovery Park on 26 July 2026, with a kiddies race, limited parking and funds raised for local conservation and health charities.

A self-navigation trail in Hatfield Peverel offering 13, 7 and 4 mile routes with no markings or marshalls, a supplied narrative, on-course drinks for the 13 miler and a post-race ploughmans lunch included.

Forest Five is a mile race in a three race 2026 series run by Orion Harriers, with events on June 6, July 4 and August 1. The August 1 race is Orion's ELVIS fixture and includes individual and team trophies plus series aggregate awards.

A trail marathon and half along part of the Vanguard Way, an undulating out and back route with varied South East England scenery.
