Quivering Quads Trail Runs

Troy, United States • 8 Mar 2026

Event Overview

The Quivering Quads Trail Runs is the 27th edition of this trail race, taking place at Cuivre River State Park in Troy, Missouri. The event offers two distances: a half marathon and an 8-mile race.

The Course

The courses are located within Cuivre River State Park and feature Ozark-like bluff views. Runners can expect climbs, descents, multiple creek crossings through Big Sugar Creek, and a mix of wide fire roads and narrow single-track trails. The terrain includes rocks, roots, and the potential for mud.

To prevent trail congestion, runners will start in waves of 30 to 35 participants. Wave placement is seeded according to a runner's predicted road race pace for the relevant distance. There is a course cutoff time of 1:00 PM.

Participant Information

Registration is limited to 400 total participants. Included with registration are a long sleeve shirt and a custom finisher medal. Post-race offerings include food, snacks, and beer from Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. Dogs are not permitted on the course or at the event.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top two male and female overall finishers. Age group awards will also be presented for the top two male and female finishers in each distance across the following categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
