Quiet Silence 50k

Lake Mills, United States • 5-6 Dec 2025

Event details

The Quiet Silence 50k takes place on Fri December 5 - Sat December 6, 2025 in Lake Mills, WI (191 Sandy Beach Rd). The event offers the following distances:

  • 50k out-and-back on the Glacial Drumlin State Trail
  • 25k out-and-back on the same course

The event is organized by TYDISH Wildera & Collective in partnership with Chase the Sun Running Co. The race is clock timed and awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers. An athlete guide is provided with additional race details, course time limits and required gear.

Course and logistics

Both courses start at Rotary Park in Lake Mills and use the Glacial Drumlin State Trail, a mostly flat, crushed gravel, multi-use trail. The 50k uses the western terminus of the Glacial Drumlin in Cottage Grove as the turnaround point, which is the halfway mark and will have warm food, volunteers and aid. Runners in the 50k have eight hours to complete the course. One unsupported drop bag is allowed on the way out and will be set at an outdoor pavilion roughly 8 miles from the start; this bag will be passed again on the return near mile 23.

The 25k option allows four hours to finish. One supported drop bag is allowed at the turnaround near 8 miles and there is no other aid on that course. The event requests quiet on the outbound leg and silence on the return to respect nearby sleeping communities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
