Queen City Trail Series - Iron Division

The Queen City Trail Series - Iron Division is a multi-race trail running series based in Iron Mountain, Michigan, running from late May through October 2026. The series includes five monthly trail races from May through September followed by a championship event in October held in Marquette. Races are held at multiple trailheads and use similar distances and comparable difficulty across locations to provide consistent scoring across different terrain.

Race distances in the Iron Division include:

  • 5K - Pewabic Hills Trails
  • 6K - Ogee South Trailhead
  • 8K - Fumee East Trailhead
  • 3 miles - Pine Mountain Trails
  • 6K - Ogee North Trailhead
  • 10K - Championship in Marquette

Registration for the series events opens on April 1, 2026, and listed races have no registration fee. Scoring uses a proportional system based on each race winner’s finishing time, with a maximum of 15 points available to first place; this system allows cumulative participation to affect overall standings. Some races take place on trails managed by the Dickinson Tractors Network (DTN), and the series notes the option to support trail maintenance through DTN. The championship event includes recognition of division winners and the overall series winner and is followed by a post-race celebration.
