The Pine Mountain 500 is a professionally timed running event organized by the Dickinson Trail Network and held on Sunday August 2, 2026 on the Pine Mountain trail system. The event includes road and trail formats that start together and offers multiple loop-based race options with specified step counts per loop. Lift service is provided to bring racers to the top.

Distances and formats are offered in two series.

Pine Mountain 500 series:

• Pine Mountain 500: 1 loop, 2.7 miles, 500 steps
• Deuce: 2 loops, 5.4 miles, 1000 steps
• EXTREME: 4 loops, 10.8 miles, 2000 steps

Pine Muddin' 500 off road series:

• Pine Muddin' 500: 1 loop, 2 miles, 500 steps
• Deuce: 2 loops, 4 miles, 1000 steps
• EXTREME: 4 loops, 8 miles, 2000 steps

Packet pickup and registration are available in the days before the event, with same day packet pickup and same day registration listed if spots remain. The event schedule also notes a pancake breakfast at the top and an awards ceremony as part of the event day activities.
