Q50 Races Run to the Hills

Q50 Races Run to the Hills takes place at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, Louisiana on June 13, 2026. The event offers two official distances:

  • 10 miles - two loops on a dirt trail, small hills, one water station at the 5 mile point
  • 5 miles - one loop around the park trail, no on-course water station

The course runs primarily on dirt trails and includes small hills; the terrain is described as nontechnical. There will be water and Gatorade available at the start and finish areas to refill personal containers, and a single on-course station serves only the 10 mile loop at the 5 mile mark. The event follows a minimal paper use policy and has a limited number of paper cups.

There is a park entry fee of $3.00 per person; seniors age 62 and older and children under 3 are exempt from this fee. Registrations are non-refundable and transfer of entries is not allowed. Deadline for switching declared mileage is June 10 (midnight); no mileage changes on race day. Awards are given for first through third place for male and female finishers in each distance. A finisher meal will be provided for participants by the New Orleans Mission. Participants are asked to provide their own hydration containers and a whistle, and to take precautions for heat and insects based on expected conditions.
