Q50 Races Chupacabra
Q50 Races Chupacabra is a night trail event held at Bogue Chitto State Park, with registration and finish activity centered at the park meeting room. There is a park entrance fee of $3 per person; the fee is collected at the event.
Distances offered:
- 10 miles
- 5 miles
The route runs on dirt trails through park terrain. The course includes some small hills and is described as nontechnical. One aid station will be available and will provide water and gatorade; food for participants is provided at the finish by the New Orleans Mission. The event follows a bring your own bottle policy: no paper cups are provided and runners must carry their own hydration containers for refill at stations.
Required gear and safety rules include a bright headlamp or flashlight, extra batteries, a hydration system or bottle, and a whistle; earphones are not allowed. Runners must carry out their own trash and deposit it at the finish. It is forbidden to remove plants, animals, rocks, or other natural items from the course. Companions and vehicles are restricted to assigned areas at the start and finish and may not accompany runners on course. Race numbers must be visible on the front of each runner, and organizers reserve the right to remove participants for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
