Q50 Races Chupacabra - Franklinton, LA
Q50 Races Chupacabra is the 16th edition of a night trail running event held at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA on November 6, 2026. The event offers two measured distances.
- 10 miles - two loops of the 5 mile course; water and food station at the finish
- 5 miles - one loop; no stations on course
Participants should bring a bright headlamp or flashlight, extra batteries, a whistle, and a personal hydration container such as a camelback. Those who wear prescription glasses or contacts are asked to bring them. Food for participants will be provided by New Orleans Mission. Handmade medals and awards will be given.
There is a $3 per person park entrance fee that organizers will collect on site; exact change is requested. The deadline to switch mileage is November 4, 2026; changes are not allowed on the day of the event. Organizers ask attendees to follow common sense hygiene, to take personal responsibility for their health and safety, and to avoid attending if unwell.
