Q50 Races Chupacabra
Q50 Races Chupacabra is a night trail running event at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA. The course uses dirt trails with scenic sections and some small hills; the trail is described as not technical.
Distances
- 5 miles one loop on dirt trail
- 10 miles same trail distance available
The start and finish are at the park meeting room. There is one aid station in total; it is located at the finish area and supplies water and gatorade and some food items. Participants are asked to carry their own hydration containers because no paper cups are provided.
Required equipment and rules include a bright headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries, a hydration system (bottle, camelback, or belt), and a whistle. Headphones are not allowed. Runners must keep their race numbers visible on the front of their clothing. Companions may assist only at the start and finish areas and vehicles are not permitted to accompany runners on the course.
Environmental and safety rules require runners to carry out their trash and not remove any plants, animals, or rocks from the park. Runners who do not follow these rules may be disqualified. Organizers reserve the right to remove any runner judged medically unfit to continue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
