Q50 Races Trails Extravaganza is a multi-distance trail event held at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, Louisiana. The event offers looped trail courses on mostly single-track terrain that includes sand, gravel, stumps and roots. Loops are organized in 10 mile segments.

Distances:

  • 50 miles
  • 30 miles
  • 20 miles

  • 5 miles

Aid and logistics vary by distance. Longer distances are served by two food stations on the looped course, the 10 mile route has a single station, and the 5 mile course has no stations. Water is available for refilling personal hydration containers; participants must bring their own bottle or hydration system. The event follows a minimum paper policy.

Mandatory and prohibited items and behaviors are enforced. Participants are required to carry a whistle and personal hydration. Dogs, pacers, bicycles, baby strollers and earphones are not permitted on the course. Using an alternative route, getting lost, or cutting the course will make a runner ineligible for place awards. The ultra cutoff is 14 hours.

Finishers receive event items specific to distance. The 50 mile finishers receive a half buckle and 30 mile finishers receive a walking stick; participants also receive medals, swag and a finisher meal. A park entrance fee of $3 per person applies. No refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
