Pumpkin Holler Hunnerd is an annual running and gravel bike event in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The 2026 edition takes place on October 17-18 and includes both foot races and a gravel bike race called the Gravel Smasher. The Gravel Smasher follows the running course and shares some roads with the longer running events.

Course and venue

The start and finish area is at Eagle Bluff Resort near Tahlequah, beside the Illinois River and close to the J.T. Nickel Family Nature and Wildlife Preserve. The course runs mainly on gravel roads and is described as somewhat hilly, with uphills followed by longer downhills. Eagle Bluff provides parking, showers, restrooms, tent camping and upgraded RV hookups near the start/finish.

Support and logistics

The event includes frequent aid stations staffed by experienced volunteers. Finish area amenities include campfires, hot food, music and informal gatherings. The event supports a local charity, Activate Oklahoma. Parking guidance notes that campsite holders may park near their site and others may use the lot across from the Eagle Bluff convenience store; participants are asked not to block roads near the course.
