Event

GTR 2026 is the 10th annual Greenleaf Trail Run, scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Braggs, Oklahoma. The event offers three distances:

  • 5 mile
  • 10 mile
  • 20 mile

The event takes place at Gruber ORV Park near Highway 10 and Tyler Road in Braggs, OK 74423.

Course and logistics

The course uses a loop format built from a 5+ mile loop. The trail is described as moderately technical. Packet pick up will be available at the ORV park on race day. Distance changes must be arranged before the event. If a participant begins a distance and then stops, the result will be recorded as a DNF. The organizer will not mail packets for no-shows.

Shirt availability is limited by a cutoff date of January 1, 2026; entries after that date are not guaranteed a shirt.

Awards and policies

Top three male and female finishers in each event will receive a custom trophy. All finishers will receive a custom finishers medal. If snow or ice during the week of the event makes the trail difficult, entries will be converted to virtual. If the event must be cancelled for reasons beyond control, entries will be switched to virtual and there will be no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Take on Peak to Creek, a full 33 mile loop in Cookson, OK, with big climbs, water crossings and rugged roads. With a 70 runner cap and elk or bear finisher buckle, this wild, self reliant race is a true backcountry challenge.

Run scenic 2 mile loops to a hilltop overlooking Lake Vian during a weekend of distances from 4 miles to 100 miles, including marathon and ultramarathon options. Chip timing with live lap counts, finisher medals and a buckle for 100 milers.

Start and finish through the open doors of the Beechcraft Airport Hangar at Hatbox Sports Complex in Muskogee on May 16, 2026. Enjoy a scenic looped 5k with wooden finisher medals and special engraved cedar awards for top runners.
