Course and race logistics
The course uses a 10 mile loop of mostly single-track dirt with some prairies, several creek crossings, and rolling hills. Elevation gain is 1500 feet per 10 mile loop. Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 miles; there is no drop bag location at the mile 5 aid station. A large tent with picnic tables is provided at the start/finish for runners and their gear.
Timing is electronic; all runners will be chipped or board timed. Traditional DNS and DNF timing is used and runners may not change or drop down distances mid-race. Early start options have restrictions and are not available for the 200 mile distance. Primitive tent camping is available at no charge; there is no power or running water on site, and portable toilets are provided. Public-trail use means participants may encounter other park users.
