Farmdale Trail Run

Event overview

The Farmdale Trail Run is scheduled for October 11-12, 2025 at Farmdale Reservoir near East Peoria, Illinois. This is the twentieth running of the Farmdale Endurance Trail Runs. The venue is an 800-acre area maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and volunteer organizations, with single-track trail, service road and open prairie terrain.

Race details and logistics

Registration closed on September 12, 2025. Packet pickup is at Farmdale Reservoir, 810 W Bittersweet Rd, Washington, IL, on Friday, October 10, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM; alternative pickup arrangements are allowed up to about 45-60 minutes before a race. Time limits are listed as a 9-hour limit for the 10K and half marathon, and a 32-hour cutoff for the 50- and 100-mile events; these details are subject to change. The 100-mile field may drop down to the 50-mile option at mile 50; racers who stop at mile 50 will receive an award, but cost differences will not be refunded. Quitting at miles 60, 70, 80 or 90 is treated as a DNF.

Aid stations will offer a variety of foods; competitors with strict dietary needs are advised to bring their own supplies (staff can heat or cook items). Pacers are allowed after completing the first loop. Crew access is limited to the start/finish aid station. Camping is available on site with a pack-out deadline of 1:00 PM Sunday, October 13. Porta potties will be provided. Trailers and campers require advance permission and are limited; priority is given to longer-distance entrants.

Awards and packet items

All participants receive a shirt and finisher medal. Finishers of the 50- and 100-mile distances receive buckles and additional swag to be determined. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
