FOLEPI River Trail Classic

The FOLEPI River Trail Classic takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in East Peoria, IL, with the event base at the Fondulac Park District Administration Center, 201 Veterans Drive. The main event is a point-to-point 4 mile run on the East Peoria River Trail. The course is described as mostly downhill and scenic. Walkers start at the intersection of Matheny Road and the River Trail and begin walking when unloaded. Dogs are not allowed on the course.

Logistics, registration and awards

Transportation is provided from the Fondulac Park District Administration Center to the starting line on Pleasant Hill Road from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.; participants may drive to the starting line but there is no transportation back to the administration center after the race. Restrooms in a warm building are available at the starting area and a gear check wagon will hold warm-up clothes.

Pre-registration options include online and mailed entry forms; mailed forms should be postmarked by Monday, November 24, 2025. Packet pickup is available Friday, November 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, November 29 from 7 to 8:15 a.m. Entry fees are listed as $40 pre-registration, which includes a hooded long-sleeved technical shirt with thumb holes (limited sizes), or $25 for run or walk only with no shirt. Entry fees are non-refundable. Awards include top 3 overall male and female, top 3 overall Master, top place Grand Master and Senior Grand Master male and female, and a minimum of three awards per age group. A post race party at Mickie’s, 1051 E. Washington, will offer pizza for participants and beer for those 21 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
