Temptation 200 Ultras

Topeka, United States • 5 Sep 2026

Event information

The Temptation 200 Ultras takes place at Sand Ridge State Forest in Forest City, Illinois on the weekend of September 5, 2026. Distances offered include:

  • 200K
  • 50K
  • Not At All Tempted 10K

Registration closes on August 25, 2026.

Race format and cutoffs

All long-ultra entrants register initially as 200K participants and may choose to stop and accept official finishes at shorter distances on race day. The event permits on-site upgrades for the cash difference; upgraded participants may receive awards by mail if supplies run out. Organizers use a flexible cutoff policy. Race directors may require steady forward progress and can remove runners if completion within the event limits appears not possible.

The 10K follows an out-and-back to the first aid station. The 50K is two loops of the course and awards an official 50K finish to those who complete those loops.

Logistics, awards and refunds

Camping at the start/finish is included. There are no showers or electric hookups; Oak Campground provides pit toilets and a hand-powered water pump. Awards include a challenge coin for 50K finishers, buckles for 100K, 150K and 200K finishes, a framed course map for winners, and an award for the final 200K finisher who meets cutoffs. Deferral and refund policy: refunds available at specified early deadlines; deferrals allowed after July 1; no refunds or deferrals after August 26.
