Event Overview

Pilgrim 6 is a running event set on Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. The event involves a 32 km route with 1800 m of elevation gain. Participants complete three ascents of Pen y Fan, using six different paths without repeating any route.

Route and Format

The course is unmarked; participants are responsible for their own navigation using a GPX file and map provided before the event. Safety marshals will be present at all checkpoints. Participants must check in at each checkpoint. The start and finish point uses the grid reference SO 02179 24547.

Participant Options

There are two participant categories:

  • Classic Trail Run (unweighted)
  • Weighted (16kg bergan) - Participants must supply their own pack, which is weighed at registration.

Requirements and Notes

The minimum age for participants is 16. A high level of fitness and preparation is required for this event. Dogs are not allowed. T-shirts for the event can be purchased at registration.
