Pilgrim 6

Pilgrim 6 is an off-road endurance event on Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons held on 31 October 2026. The course covers 32 km with about 1800 m of elevation and includes three ascents of Pen y Fan using six different routes, so no ascent uses the same path twice.

Two competition categories are offered: Classic Fell Race (unweighted) and a Weighted category requiring a 16 kg bergan or day sack. The carried weight is checked at registration and must include water and food. Bergans or day sacks are not supplied by the organiser.

The route is not waymarked. A GPX file and map will be issued closer to the event and competitors are responsible for their own navigation. GPS devices are allowed. Safety marshalls will be placed at the control points and competitors must make themselves known at each control point. Notable control points include Pen y Fan summit, Cribyn summit, and Story Arms where a water station is located.

Minimum age is 16 on the event date. Entry is managed through SiEntries and the stated entry fee is £20. Entries open 30 January 2026 and close 25 October 2026; entries recorded so far total 30 participants. Dogs are not permitted. Event details note a cut off time will be published and may affect the weighted category. T-shirts are available to purchase at registration.
