Pilgrim 6

Pilgrim 6 is a mountain running event on Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons held on Saturday 31 October 2026. The course covers 32 km with approximately 1800 m of ascent and includes three separate ascents of the summit, using six different routes so that no route is repeated.

There are two competition categories: an unweighted Classic fell race and a Weighted category in which participants carry a 16 kg bergan or day sack. The bergan is weighed at registration and the weight must include water and food; participants must supply their own bergan. Minimum age to enter is 16. The published entry fee is £20. Entries open 30 January 2026 and close 25 October 2026; the entry system shows current participant numbers.

The route is not marked on the ground. A GPX file and a map will be issued before the event; navigation is the participant’s responsibility. GPS devices are allowed. Safety marshals will be present at control points; participants must make themselves known at each control point. Competitors should stick to main trails and paths. A cut off time will be announced closer to the event and may affect the Weighted category. Dogs are not allowed. T-shirts are available to purchase at registration at a reduced cost.
