Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series
The Fall Series is a cross country running tradition in Colorado Springs dating back to 1979. The event consists of four individual trail races held in different city and county parks. Each successive race in the series increases in distance, leading participants through diverse terrain ranging from wide grass fields and well-maintained regional trails to rocky single-track paths with tree roots and hills.
The series includes four distinct events:
- 3.8 miles at Bear Creek Terrace
- 4 miles at North Monument Valley Park
- 5.5 miles at Piñon Valley Park and Ute Valley Park
- 7.4 miles at Palmer Park
Participants must be at least 15 years old to enter. The events are chip-timed, and cumulative scoring is used for series awards. To be eligible for age group or overall awards, runners must complete all four races in the series. Individual race awards are not provided.
The courses are designed as pure cross country experiences and may include varied trail conditions. Due to safety and insurance requirements, the use of earbuds, headphones, strollers, baby joggers, animals, and bicycles is prohibited on the course. Registration is available online only, with no registration options provided on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
