The Piedmont 8 Hour is scheduled for October 18, 2025, at Powhatan State Park in Powhatan, VA. The event returns for year 10 and uses a 2.7 mile loop with about 60 feet of elevation change per loop. Event formats listed include:

Awards will be given to the top three finishers for males and females. All runners will receive finisher awards specific to year 10.

Course, support and entry

The course runs through open meadows and pine forest, with mostly double-track trails, one or two short hills, and few roots or rocks. Runners pass the start line each lap and will have access to food and aid at that location every lap. The aid station will offer gummy candies, chips, water, Tailwind and some pop. This is a cupless event; participants must bring their own cup.

Boxed lunches are available as an optional add-on from the partnering cafe; boxed lunches include a sandwich, chips, cookie and a can of pop. Registration closes October 17; the last day to be guaranteed a hat is September 19. Entry for the 8 hour race is listed at $65 and a discount code is available for law enforcement, fire, medical, education, military and veterans. Refunds are not offered. Celebrate the 30th Chesterfield Alumni Run on Thanksgiving at Pocahontas State Park with a free community XC 5k and kids fun run with gingerbread cookies. Stay for giveaways and optional donations to support local track and cross country.
