Phoenix Running - Hampshire Halloween Runificent Run

Phoenix Running stages a timed, lap-based event along the Itchen Way in Winchester. The course is an out-and-back route that crosses Hockley Viaduct, has been professionally measured and holds a Road Permit.

Participants run repeated 2.62 mile laps within a seven hour time limit. Distances are formed by completing multiple laps:

  • One lap: 2.62 miles out and back
  • Five laps: half marathon distance
  • Ten laps: marathon distance
  • Eleven or more laps: ultra distance

The event operates a flexible rock up and run start format, so participants can choose their start time on the day. The event base is Garnier Road Car Park, with additional parking a short three minute walk away at St. Catherine's Park & Ride, postcode SO23 9NP. Parking charges apply on Saturdays and payment options include Ringo or contactless payment.

An aid station supplies a range of sweet and savoury foods, highlighted by the event's signature potatoes, with vegan options available. All participants receive a bespoke finisher's medal or memento. UK Athletics rules mean distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under; event terms and conditions cover eligibility and other requirements.
