Event location and course

Dragon's Eye Race 1 takes place at Hurtwood Park Polo Club in Cranleigh, Surrey. The route is a looped, off-road trail through the estate and is described as mostly flat. An aid station will be positioned behind the main building, with access to the polo club facilities. The event offers an overall time limit of seven hours for each participant.

Race format, distances and entry

The event uses a lap format so runners can complete multiple laps of the loop. Distances available include:

  • Marathon
  • Ultra (multiple laps possible)

The minimum distance recorded is 2.62 miles, or the distance covered within the seven-hour time limit. Entry fees listed are £37.95 for affiliated runners and £39.95 for unattached runners. Places are limited. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under under UK Athletics rules. All participants, attended and virtual, receive a free medal or memento.
