PHOENIX Fridays - Run for a Tenner Friday - December

PHOENIX Fridays are a series of timed running events with flexible rock up and run start times. This Run for a Tenner edition is offered as a charity event with the organisers stating that the ten pound entry goes into the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity.

Runners complete laps of a measured out and back course along the river Thames. The loop measures 5.3 km (3.28 miles). Participants may complete as many or as few laps as they wish within the overall time limit. The minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as the runner can go in 7 hours.

The surface is off road trail on a riverside towpath. The overall course is described as having no elevation gain or loss. All finishers receive a physical memento; the charity runs feature a double sided Rays of Sunshine medal and other events provide bespoke finishers' medals. These Friday events are described as smaller than the weekend events and have a lower entry fee than some themed events. Places are strictly limited. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
