PHOENIX Fridays - Run for a Tenner Friday

This event is part of the PHOENIX Fridays series of timed runs with flexible "rock up and run" start times. Events in this series are described as smaller than weekend events and have a reduced entry fee compared with standard themed entries. Participants may attend in person or take part virtually.

The advertised entry fee for affiliated participants is £10 and for unaffiliated participants is £12. For this specific Run for a Tenner charity event the whole £10 affiliation fee is allocated to the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity. All participants, attended and virtual, receive a finishers' giveaway medal; the charity run features a double-sided Rays of Sunshine design.

The course is an out-and-back route along the river Thames using a riverside towpath. The surface is off-road trail and the overall course is described as having no elevation gain or loss. Runners complete as many or as few laps as they wish within the event time limit. The minimum distance is one lap, 3.28 miles, or as far as a participant can go in the published 7-hour time limit. Places are strictly limited. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
