PFW Running - The Bog Trotter is a 10K trail race held on Sunday 29 November 2026 in Blackpool. Course and facilities

The course is a single 10K loop on trail paths through the country park, with a short section on pavement and an undulating profile. The route passes Marton Mere nature reserve, Herons Reach golf course and Blackpool Zoo, and offers views of Blackpool Tower and Stanley Park. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-race goodies. Provision on course and at the finish includes sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial and coke.

Entry fees are listed as £23 for affiliated runners and £25 for unattached runners. Entries may be transferred to another runner or deferred up to one week prior to the event by contacting the organiser and providing the new runner’s details. Trail runs nearby

Off-road event near Preston offering 10k and 11 mile routes across tracks and fields around Caldervale and the base of Beacon Fell country park. The 11 mile has a three hour cutoff and maps with three checkpoints are provided.

A countryside challenge across Rivington, Anglezarke and Turton Moors with a long 24 mile route and a shorter walkers option. The event uses staffed checkpoints, a 10 hour time limit, and mandatory kit checks.

A winter fell race of 5 miles (8 km) with 381 m ascent around Bleasdale, held at Bleasdale Parish Hall. Mandatory kit includes waterproofs, map, compass, whistle, hat and gloves and kit checks take place at registration.

Take on Mr Sparkle's Dark Un, an 8.1 km night fell race across moorland with stiff climbs, mud and a final descent on 27 Feb 2026. A headtorch and full body cover are required and places are limited, pre entry only.
