Pere Marquette Endurance Trail Run

The Pere Marquette Endurance Trail Run is held on 12/12/2026 at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, Illinois. The event marks its 37th year and features a 7.8 miles trail course with hilly terrain and park scenery in December.

Packet pickup and pre race coffee are available in the Pere Marquette State Park Lodge, which also hosts post race festivities and awards beside a roaring fire. The setting in the lodge is used for pre and post race activities.

The event is planned to proceed in most weather conditions and will take place regardless of rain, sleet, snow, ice, mud or muck. If the Park Service closes Pere Marquette State Park because of severe inclement weather or another unforeseen cause, Metro Tri Club will cancel the event and will not offer refunds or deferments.

Awards are presented in multiple categories. These include Male and Female Overall, Male and Female Masters for age 40 and over, and the top three finishers in five year age groups starting at age 14 and continuing to the oldest finisher.
