The race is intended to proceed in wet or wintry conditions - rain, sleet, snow, ice, mud or muck - unless the Park Service closes Pere Marquette State Park. If the park is closed for severe inclement weather or another unforeseen cause, the event will be canceled and no refunds or deferments will be offered. Awards include Male and Female Overall, Male and Female Masters (40+), and top three in age groups in five-year increments from 16 to the oldest finisher.
