Penshurst New Year Cross Country

The Penshurst New Year Cross Country is an annual off‑road running event held in Penshurst village around the start of the year. The race uses countryside and village trails that include rolling hills and sections through woodland, giving a mix of terrain and views.

The course is described as a five mile cross country route. Entry is open to runners aged 10 and above. The usual entry fee is £14 plus a booking fee. Entry fees are donated to Hospice in the Weald.

Event facilities are based at Penshurst Village Hall, High St, Penshurst, Tonbridge TN11 8BP. Organisers ask participants to consider car sharing and to park with local residents in mind. After the race several nearby establishments serve food and can be busy.

Awards are presented in multiple categories including overall fastest male and female, fastest junior male and female under 18, fastest local male and female from Penshurst, and fastest canicrosser running with a dog.
