Gravel Day
Gravel Day is a weekend event in southeast Ohio centered at Snow Fork Event Center. The weekend includes a Friday Night Community Gathering on October 2 and Gravel Day on October 3, 2026.
Participants choose from a range of looped routes and a trail run. Available options include:
- 11 mile looped gravel cycling route
- 25 mile looped gravel cycling route
- 48 mile looped gravel cycling route
- 10 mile mountain biking route on the Baileys Trail System
- 24 mile mountain biking route on the Baileys Trail System
- 3.5 mile Trail Run/Hike loop at Snow Fork Event Center
The published routes list elevation details: the 11 mile gravel route gains about 900 feet, the 25 mile route gains over 1,600 feet, and the 48 mile route gains over 4,200 feet. Mountain biking routes use machine-built trails in the Baileys Trail System and include a mix of IMBA green and blue rated sections, with approximately 1,000 feet of climbing for the 10 mile option and nearly 2,500 feet for the 24 mile option. The Trail Run/Hike uses a looped course on the Snow Fork property and may be completed multiple times while the course is open.
Each Gravel Day route carries a stated fundraising commitment of $1,500. Routes have set capacities and may be adjusted for safety or road conditions; they are officially supported only during the event weekend. An event handbook and resource materials provide safety guidance, training tips, and packing lists. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
